New Student Council for 2024/ 2025
BOARDSMILL NATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL
Congratulations to all the students who were elected as members of the Student Council. Well done also to everyone who put themselves forward, prepared and delivered speeches to their classmates and school. You have all done yourselves very proud!
We are delighted with our new Council and really look forward to hearing all of your opinions, ideas and suggestions throughout the year. Suggestion boxes have been placed by the Student Council at the entrance to the school so use your voice and have a say in the running of your school!

Student Council Constitution
The role of the student council is to improve the lives and wellbeing of the students in Boardsmill National School.
Responsibilities of the Student Council include:
· Promoting the interests of students among the school administration, staff and parents.
· To inform students about any subject that concerns them.
· To consult students on any issue of importance.
· To organise financial campaigns for charitable and school activities/equipment.
· To represent the voices of all the children in our school.
· To support all initiatives in our school including, Green Schools and Active Flag.
· To support our curriculum.

The Worry Box
Tadhg Dempsey from Rang a Sé has designed a worry box. If any student is feeling worried they can write a note to the teachers via this box. Well done Tadhg!
